The Superbowl
Seahawks vs. Patriots Final Analysis

The NFC Champion, Seattle Seahawks, beat the AFC Champion, New England Patriots, 29-13 in California. The Seattle Seahawks secured their second franchise title after the win. The Seahawks' actually played against the Patriots for the 2015 Superbowl, which they lost. Think about it like a revenge story!
The Superbowl was fairly boring, with the Seahawks scoring the only points in the first three quarters. They converted four field goals to lead by the 4th quarter with a 12-0 lead. The Seahawks started the quarter strong, by scoring a 16 yard passing touchdown from QB Sam Darnold to TE AJ Barner after five plays. The Patriots quickly responded, with a 35 yard passing touchdown from QB Drake Maye to WR Mack Hollins to cut the lead 19-7.
In the fourth quarter, K Jason Myers hit a 26 yarder to be up 22-7 with 5:35 left in the fourth. Then, the Patriots fired back. Drake Maye shotgun pass straight to Kayshon Boutte but it was INTERCEPTED BY LB U. Nwosu for the touchdown fumble for the Seahawks to be up 29-7 in the fourth! All the rest of the attempts were simply futile - even with the Patriots touchdown. The final score was 29-13, with the hawks getting it's revenge for Super Bowl 49!
In the end, RB Kenneth Walker III, otherwise known as K9, finished the game with 135 rushing yards and 26 receiving yards to take the NFL Super Bowl Honors. After co-RB Zach Charbonnet tore his right Achilles, he remained as the main running back throughout the Super Bowl, instead of sharing with Charbonnet. Even in the games before, he had 116 yards with three touchdowns in the divisional, and 111 yards with one touchdown in the NFC Championship Game. However, K Jason Myers broke the record of most points in a season with 206 points. And yet, Jason Myers wasn’t even an option to win the award.
Speaking of Kenneth Walker, he left the Seahawks to sign with the Chiefs for three years, $45 million, being the top RB in free agency. They also lost CB Riq Woolen, a key piece of their defense. With that, the Seahawks lose a lot of value in their offense, at the running back position specifically. But with their defense at a loss and the former Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs getting a needed player for their offense, let's see what we have in store for the next season! And as always, Go Falcons!
