The Best Animal

As a professional animal lover, I have spent years researching almost every animal on this planet. I am proud to say that I can finally present the best one.
Without further ado, this is the best animal in the entire world, the peacock mantis shrimp.

Now don’t be fooled by its looks, the peacock mantis shrimp is extremely deadly and very territorial. These guys have two club-like front legs that they like to whip out at 23 m/sec at their prey. That’s about the same speed as a 22. Caliber bullet and force 100 times that of its weight, making their punch the strongest strike by an animal. Even if they miss their blow, the attack boils the water around them which creates a shock wave that can stun or even kill the prey. That is how strong they are.

Strongest strike isn’t the only world record they have; these creatures also have the most colour receptors out of any animal in the world. For comparison, dogs only have 2 colour receptors, humans have 3, and butterflies have 5. But the humble mantis shrimp has 16 colour receptors. They can see so many colours that we can’t even imagine. This, combined with their extremely wide field of vision, gives them the most advanced eyes in the animal kingdom.

In conclusion, if this hasn’t convinced you that the peacock mantis shrimp is the best, I don’t know what will.
