The Great Hunt
You've been reading The Hound all term. Now prove it and win BIG!

Every issue this term, something was hidden, such as a phrase, an Easter egg, or a small reward for the attentive reader. Most of you scrolled past it. A few of you didn't.
This week, we're making the hunt official.
Welcome to The Great Hunt: a nine-clue acrostic crossword built entirely from The Hound's own content. Every answer lives somewhere on applebyhound.org - in our articles, our team, and our world. The first person to crack it wins.
How it works:
The crossword below has nine rows. The number beside each clue tells you how many letters the answer contains. One column (the highlighted one) runs straight through the grid from top to bottom. The letters in that column, read downward, spell out the final winning word.
To complete The Great Hunt:
1. Solve all nine rows using the clues below
2. Identify the letter from each row that falls in the highlighted column
3. Read those letters from top to bottom - that's your final word
4. Submit all nine row answers plus the final word using the link at the bottom of this article
